| Getting to Brighton |
By train: Services run from London Victoria to Brighton via East Croydon throughout the day and into the early hours. The fastest service takes 49 minutes. There is also a direct service from Bedford that stops at London Kings Cross Thameslink.
By air: Gatwick airport is only 30 minutes away with good connections by train, bus and road. The rail station runs through the airport. There is a connecting coach service between Gatwick, Heathrow, Stanstead and Luton airports.
By car: Brighton is about 45 minutes from the M25, the London orbital motorway that connects with other motorways from around the UK. From the M25 take the M23/A23 (dual carriageway). From Dover and the Channel Tunnel take the M20/M26/M25/M23. Do not take the coast road.
By ferry: Fast ferry (2hrs) from Dieppe to Newhaven and then taxi to Brighton. Dover, Folkestone, Portsmouth and Southampton are all between 1 to 2 hours away by road but train or coach connections could be difficult.
By Channel Tunnel: The English end of the Channel Tunnel is at Folkestone, 2 hours from Brighton by car. The Eurostar train departs from both Paris and Brussels to London Waterloo. Then take the underground to Victoria or London Bridge and train to Brighton.
